Snow removal underway: Thursday, February 21

Snow removal operations began early this morning to clear the 10 cm of snow received overnight. Plowing and snow blowing ops are ongoing and should be completed by early next week, barring delays such as equipment breakdown, damage to plows or other unforeseen obstacles. Please be patient as our snow removal crew works to clear the streets.

Tips to speed-up snow removal:

Fast and efficient snow removal depends on your cooperation to move your vehicles off the street so the snow removal crews can do their job.

Help speed up snow removal by moving your car whenever you see the temporary orange no parking signs that signal the arrival of snow plows. Please respect the no parking signs to avoid delaying snow removal operations, and remember violators may be ticketed and/or be towed.

Additionally, please respect overnight parking rules and daytime restrictions on your street to avoid delaying snow removal operations. As well, even if it is legal to park on the street, try to park in your driveway or garage to help speed up street cleaning.

Do not leave your garbage and recycling bins on the sidewalk during snow removal operations as this causes unnecessary delays in cleaning sidewalks.
